The Gold Coast Orphan Alliance was started in 2009 by Sarah and Davis Hock, Christy and Jon-Ryan Schlobohm, and Brittany and Ian Bentley who staff the ministry, along with the help of many faithful others, on an entirely volunteer basis. GCOA works to mobilize the community for the cause of the orphan by providing information and relational support to care for orphans. We are purposed to encourage and empower our members to utilize the resources that God has given them to serve orphaned and vulnerable children both locally and globally through prayer, sponsorship, missions, adoption -- and even shopping.

GCOA also seeks to provide support for adoptive (and pre-adoptive) families who are currently considering adoption, in process on adoptions and/or raising adopted children. GCOA also reaches out to non-Christians in the community who are interested in adoption and orphan care. As we serve our community, our desire is that God's love for orphaned children be shared.

The GCOA family includes individuals from all walks of life who desire to respond to God's call to minister to the needs of orphans. The orphans of the world need all of us - college students, young parents, single working professionals, retirees - to come together to raise our collective voices for them. We hope you'll join us!
